Organization

The UNIMORE Center for Genome Research was established to promote the improvement of either basic and applied research on genomics and the spreading of the results between academic contexts and both public and private research corporations.  It is also aimed to promote the integration among different research activities, and the collaboration among the various scientific structures of the university and between the academia and other research corporations or the entrepreneurial world.

CGR is organized into two operational units providing accredited services and specialized work groups supporting administrative, marketing and quality activities. Each operating unit is coordinated by a unit manager. The center is directed by the Management board and by the director. The board defines all the policies and lines of development. The scientific board has an advisory activity in the policies of the Center. The service activities (subject to the accreditation of the structures of the High Technology Network of the Emilia Romagna Region) are flanked by the research and teaching activities of the researchers of the Center
